There are several lists you can insert into your project. In particular you are allowed to insert a data list into a project.
To insert the data list:
1. Select the label you are going to insert the data list into.
2. Choose the Insert-->Data List command. The Editor opens the Insert data from the Data Source dialog as shown in the example below.
Example of the Insert data from the Data Source dialog
The items of the Insert data from the Data Source dialog are described in the table below:
Data Source: |
Allows you to select a data source list from available ones. |
List Manager: |
Click this button if you wish to create a new data source list. For further information refer to the section titled Managing Lists. |

Preview: |
The application displays the values of the items selected in the Values box. |
Field Code: |
When selecting the Enhanced mode combo box, the application automatically inserts a formula in this box, which corresponds to a data source list and item you select from the Values box. Now you can modify this string manually using the description presented in the section titled Appendix A. Working with Functions. |
Function: |
When clicked displays the Function dialog, which allows you to select one of the functions supported by the application. For details see the section titled Appendix A. Working with Functions. |
Enhanced mode: |
When selected expands the dialog. The items Field Code and Function appear on your screen. |
Static value: |
When selected the application calculates the formula and inserts a result into the inserting point. Otherwise the system inserts the formula itself into the inserting point. |
3. When you click OK, the mouse cursor appears as a crosshair, which includes the list icon, so that you can place the list onto the Work Area. If you press Esc before dropping the list to the label, or select either the drawing tool or any menu command, the operation cancels.
